Environmental Stewardship

Mission Statement of St. Thomas the Apostle Environmental Stewardship Committee:

“To encourage stewardship of the environment by the parish family through education, awareness, and action to reduce our impact upon the environment that God has entrusted to us.”

The Environmental Stewardship Committee is a group of green-minded parishioners who not only organize environmental activities at St. Thomas, but also work to make sure that the Environment is considered in parish decision-making. In the past year, the ESC has participated in Coastal Clean-Ups, obtained over 400 donated CLF bulbs for the parish and parishioners, hosted an Environmental Film Screening in the Parish Hall, plus many other activities.

We welcome your input and involvement. There will be more events and opportunities for you to nurture your green side with us!
